'Public Service Gets Lowest Rating'.
It was reported in an online English version of a local daily, the Sun at www.sun2surf.com that our 'public service gets lowest rating'.
To my understanding from what I have been reading in the newspapers and through discussions, I assume that our public delivery system has shown a vast improvement in the recent years. However, I have found out that it is not exactly true, only very recently.
Lately, I have to approach Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam or MBSA to complain about some of the renovation that my good neighbour is carrying out which is affecting me and my family very badly. To date, MBSA has yet to take the necessary action that is deemed to be 'just' and 'fair' to me. Obviously I am very disapponted.
On the other hand, if you have been reading the newspapers regularly, MBSA have the reputation to demolish or breakdown any illegal structures. In short, a 'very firm' organisation or 'guardian' (which was awarded the ISO standards recently) as to what are 'legal' and 'illegal' structures.
In my case, I am getting very unsatisfactory service from MBSA.

I was an affected party and had gone to MBSA on many occassions. But, did not get their attention despite what the other side was doing was against the building by-laws. MBSA dragged their feet and I have to see those higher up and got things solved. MBSA must give the right service to those who are in need of their service fast.
