Try To Win But Please Play By The Rules.

"Being part of a football team is no different than

being part of any other organisation - an army, or

a political party. The objective is to win,  to beat the

other guys. You think that is hard or cruel?  I don't

think it is. I do think it is a reality of life that men

are competitive, and the more competitive the

business, the more competitive the men. They

know the rules, and they know the objective, and

they get in the game. And the objective is to win -

fairly, squarely, decently, by the rules, but to win."

Games are fun only because there are referees and there are rules to follow.

Just imagine, football without rules would be an athletic riot.

Our Stock Exchange without rules would be an entrepreneurial riot.

The unfortunate thing is this is not so in politics. I have no objection whatsoever that our leaders can try to win the hearts of the people if they can play by the rules.

  1. No unnecessary accusation or fabrication of untruth stories to dent a leader's image please.

  3. Win or lose, there is one thing that every player of a game, irregardless of age knows. FUN!!! So please don't mess up the fun of winning in games with dirty politic. People in politics win with dirty tactics, players in games win with honour and skill. Keep playing and have fun. Win or lose we solute you players of games.

  4. SAD..SAD..SAD!!! Football is a universal game. It requires no language. Players in the team want to win. Ronaldo wins (though with some dirty tactic), Kaka wins not only the game but the heart of all his fans. Lampard, Pele, Henry, Zidane and even the malaysian legend Soh Chin An and Singapore Fendi Ahmad can tell. They win and have fun. They dont win as in politics. So dont equate them and make the game ugly.

  5. Some wants to win at all cost. Some wants to win sportingly. Everyone, no matter in a game or in any endeavour should play to win by the rules. Right?

  6. "Win or Lose, just play the game."

  8. Each and everyone of us should as such be guided by the principles of fairness and follow the rules.
