A Crewman's Working Woe.
A former crewman of a vessel which was held hostage by the pirates in the Gulf of Aden in Somalia wants to sue his Compay, which owns the cargo ship for failing to pay him as promised the RM 15,000 as compensation and had affected his wedding preparation.
"I am still waiting for them to pay me my compensation after the items for my wedding ceremony and cash were taken by the pirates" said the 32 year old crewman. "I am disppointed and want to file a suit against them," he said at his wedding reception. The crewman had to miss his engagement ceremony earlier due to the incident in August and have to postpone his wedding due to the failure in getting his compensation which was originally planned for "Hari Raya" last year.
The couple were finally married very recently in a simple wedding ceremony at the bride's house instead.
